no control on c/h or h/w

some advice please
i have just purchased a mobile home
it has a boxi back boiler for c/h and h/w
it is old but still works and has just passed safty check
the radiatores have no thermastats on and there is no room stat
there is a timmer no seperate h/w c/h control
so it becomes very hot
can i install a room stat ??????
i know this will also control the h/w but do not use mutch h/w as just a electric shower is fitted if so can anybody tell me how[/list][/quote]

As far as I know, all heating systems can have a room stat installed. Just how this can be connected depends on how your system is designed and wired.

You say you have no separate control for heating and water? Well, I find this difficult to understand. Assuming you need hot water every day, you are suggesting the radiators would be hot 365 days a year? I am not sure that is right.

I think you should find somebody who can show you how the timer works because I suppose, it could be faulty.
