No Water flow through hot water bathroom tap All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

I have a problem with the hot water tap in my upstairs bathroom. It is a pillar type brass or brass effect tap.
The problem is that there is no water flow when the tap is opened.
Can anyone advise what the problem is likely to be and more importantly how I go about fixing it?

probarly needs rewashering or a new insert putting in by some tap revitalising kit from a plumbers merchant
