I have a FIREBIRD HEATPAC 70 external oil boiler and the central heating will only work with the hot water on...I called a plumber but he hasn't turned up (again). Can anyone help ?? - it was working fine until 3 weeks ago.

More info on type of system would be helpful, ie is it conventional boiler with one or two motorised v/vs. what controls fitted ie programmer/time clock thermostats hot water cylinder...
