One boiler versus two

by stindig » Thu Jan 24, 2008 3:29 pm

Hi

Which is better: a single large boiler or two smaller one equally the same capacity?

I am considering a 49Kw Viessmann 300 but my plumber would rather fit 2 Vaillant units at half the capacity. Granted this would improve resilience but how is it on flow rate etc?

Thoughts or recommendations?

thanks

I have 5 bathrooms and 6 bedrooms. Three of the bathrooms have showers. One of these is about to be refurbished with a large headed shower. I have 4 boys who do a lot of sport so the bathrooms are used a fair bit.

26 radiators in total.
