Hi, I've recently moved into a property circa 100yrs old, I've taken up the carpet in the hallway as it needs upgrading and found below floorboards leading to Quarry tiles laid on earth. The Quarry tiles then follow through to the lounge. Is it possible to take the tiles up and board up to the stairs. The area is only 1mx1m. Photo attached, I've no idea how to approach this. I'd like to leave the floorboards and staircase exposed, sand and repaint but the tiles are broken in places and look odd so need either screeding over or replacing.
