Painting a mahogany door

Post by Steve Peglar » Sun Jan 01, 2012 5:26 pm

I have a pair of external mahogany french doors that i have installed indoors (they were free) and i have painted them with a gloss white paint. The paint is not adhering to the surface and i wondered if i start again how should i prepare the surface. I think they may have been stained to start with. Please help as they DO look a bit of a mess as they are. Cheers Steve

Personaly glossing mohog is totally wrong, Just a total waste of good wood. But strip it back to wood prime under coat and gloss.
