Plasterboard

by Milly-Molly » Wed Jun 13, 2007 9:03 pm

I removed a dado rail from my wall. Unfortunately it was no nailed on. The problem I now have is that it took some of the paint (emulsion) with it so I am left with big bare patches of plastered wall (it's plasterboard under the plaster). If I paint over it it is uneven and I am lost as to what to do any help would be appreciated.

You need to either sand down the paint either side of the gap so it gently tapers down to nothing making the "step" invisible or see our paint stripping project and get it all off to start again. The third option is of course to put a border where the dado was.
