Radiator Size list

Post by TONYTONE » Wed Dec 12, 2007 12:37 pm

Hi guys,

Does anyone know of a website that will allow me to trun my watts values into physical radiator dimensions. I've done all the calcs but the lists that I have found so far have limited size ranges.

Sizing radiators is not an easy thing to do. Location is important too.

You need to know a bit more than the sites tell you.

There is a site for this, but if you don’t know how to use it, it’s a waste of time.

Here the basics

The term “U valueâ€

Cheers for the info. I fortunatley have already done all the calcs to give me my watts per our etc. What I need now is a list of physical radiator sizes with their relevant watt value i.e double rad at 600H x 1200 = ???watts. The only lists that I have found so far have limited sizes shown and I need to see what options are available so I can see where they can fit in my house.

Not all radiators are the same.

If you look at a Stelrad Radiator Compact 600mm High x 1200mm Wide

You will fine their 4 models

k1 1176 watts

k2 2078 watts

p + 1614 watts

p1 743watts

You need to know what you are buying and why.

If your just buying just one radiator it don’t matter if you make a mistake, but if your buying more you can easily find yourself in trouble.

Get hold of a myson brochure and have a look thru it.
