Removing a Wall Light to make way for Storage Units

by Daimorgan » Tue Feb 25, 2020 2:41 pm

Hi,

I need advice on the best way to remove a wall light. We want to put some storage units on a wall in the conservatory where there is currently a wall light with its own built-in switch. We might want to reinstate the light at some point in the future so we don’t want to remove the wiring. What’s the best way to blank it off? Tape up the ends of the wires and fit a blanking plate?

Tape comes off after a short time, so don't use it.
Use either choc blocs or better still wago connectors.
Which ever you opt for use only one / wire. (specially wagos)

That's great, thanks for the advice. I've got Wago connectors and I'll fit them in a wall box.
