Removing old Shower Chair that Seems to be Stuck to Wall

by Stevetopp » Thu Aug 27, 2015 9:48 am

Hi. about 8 years ago my ageing mother had a wet bathroom installed which included a fold down shower seat. The seat has rusted badly and I want to remove it but the problem is that after removing the 8 wall fixing bolts/screws it is stuck fast to the wall. I'm not sure if the fitter used some form of sealant behind the seat mounting plate and I don't want to try and prise it off as I cant match any broken tiles. Any ideas for the removal of the seat causing the least damage would be appreciated.
