Render that has had filler and sanded flat

Postby Mini M » Thu May 26, 2022 11:51 am

Hi All,

Need some advice on render. The house has render on the exterior walls sponged and then a scribed block pattern (not sure the correct name for that).

It had a fair amount of hairline cracks which we got someone to fill; however, they sanded it flat and now it doesn't match the texture of the surrounding render.

Is there anything I can do before repainting as it looks a mess, it's an end of terrace so a fair amount of area to cover.

Thanks,
M

Hi mini m,
Suggest you use a coarse textured masonry paint, sandtex fine will not hide the surface discrepancies.
