Hello, all. I'm contemplating replacing our cracked plastic bath myself.
The existing original bath is sat in a frame which runs around the upper edge of the bath and had feet screwed to the floor.
Within the frame runs a pice of chipboard directly under the bath.
The bath feet are screwed to lengths of wood ,secured to the floor.
(This is the original bath from when house was built in 1989/90)
My expensive replacement just has a batten around the lip of the bath, but no frame.
Does the bath need additional support other than just fitting battens to walls to ' hang' the bath on.? (with fixing brackets, etc )
Would appreciate any advise please..........
