Replacing a Dimmer Switch With a 2 Gang 2 Way Switch Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

My dimmer switch has 1 black into switched live and 1 red into L1, on the other side I have red into L1, black into L2 and black into switched live. The new socket I want to use has L1, L2 and com x 2. Please can you explain how to wire the new one.

I can only guess without having the data sheet for dimmer, I will guess switched live becomes com.
