Replacing Central Heating Thermostat Control With Digital Display

by Terry Cooper » Wed Nov 08, 2017 12:42 pm

I want to replace my old thermostat control with a digital display. My current wiring is blue (neutral), red (live) and yellow (earth). The instructions on the new thermostat talks about a mains live and a switch live wire and a parking terminal for the earth wire.
I am assuming that my red wire equates to the mains live and my blue neutral wire equates to the switch live wire. Is this correct, or do I need to be rewired?

Are you sure that the yellow is an earth, It could be the switch live.

A photo would be a great help......
