Roof felt under tiles ripped in number of places Information, help and tips on many areas of roofing including trusses, tiling, venting, insulation etc....

Was wondering if I could ask for some advice, the felt under my tiles in my loft is ripped in a number of places, this is the felt over the joists under the tiles, I have been told that this needs to be repaired whiuich will cost a lot, about £2500 or there abouts, I`ve also been informed that it`s not that important and I could probably get away with leaving it, how would this effect the sale of the house if I sold it, the house is a semi 1975.. Thanks

Doubt it will make any difference to the sale price.
A repair can be done from inside by fitting a piece of felt rafter to rafter under the tear and pin in place using strips of batten.
