I’m trying to replace an existing Malton 30” exterior door that is fitted with two Drydon leaded glass panels. Simple I thought. Remove the glass from the old door then go and buy the same unglazed door I fitted years ago. Found the replacement door at the supplier I bought the old door from for £125, but the glazing spaces are now a couple of inches shorter than the glass panels that I have. I’m assuming they are toughened glass, so can’t be cut. I’ve queried other suppliers, but no one seems to want to quote the glass size, as they can’t guarantee the finished size of the door. I’m trying to avoid an expensive ‘bespoke’ door solution, or similar doors I’ve found with Drydon glass fitted at about three times the price, as we are currently just tidying up the house ready for selling. Any ideas?
