Short Stubby Window Sills Advice

by SamBradshaw » Sun Jul 11, 2021 4:48 pm

Hi,

Looking for some advice on some windows we've had fitted. The fitters have replaced our wooden frames with uPVC but have only used short stubby window sills. We're concerned water run off will cause damp and algae stains down the wall. Is this normal practice or should they have used longer sills?

Hi sambradshaw
It would be normal for a projecting cill to be used however if your wooden windows did not have them then the window supplier has not done wrong.
Regards S
