Shower Grohtherm3000 wall mounted - access to filter

by uselessplumber » Fri Jun 11, 2010 5:25 pm

I want to clean the inlet filters on a wall mounted Grohtherm 3000 shower mixer. The Grohe information leaflet says after removal of collar to get to filter I need to remove the 30 mm nut on inlet pipe behind mixer. Gap behind mixer 8mm wide so my spanners won't fit. Any advice apart from buying fine nose adjustable spanner at £25.

It's been over a year since I fitted a Grotherm 3000, and I can't for the life of me remember how it fits to the wall.

Now having said that, I can tell you one thing: I don't have a special spanner in my kit for the job. So that begs the question, how did I fit it without a problem??

It's just possible Grohe supply a special spanner as part of the installation kit. Check the handbook to see if a list of parts is shown. A call to Grohe tech department may be on the cards.
