Shower pump and mixer tap shower in flat Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

I have just moved into a high rise flat where there is a mixer tap with shower fitted to the bath when i went to turn tap on bath it only trickled out untill i move the thermostat side up but i am still not getting any hot water through and have been advised that there is a pump fitted under the bath but i can not hear any pump working?also i was advised it will only kick into action if my hot water is turned on for a few hours please could somone advise many thanks

No you don't need to heat up the water, as long as the water is turned on and the tanks are full it should work, sounds like you need a new pump but check that it's switched on first.
