Shower temperature

by phil_c » Sat Jan 24, 2009 9:15 am

Hi there,

Hoping someone maybe able to assist.

We have a Biasi Combi boiler

We moved into our flat Aug 08. At start of 2009 the heat in the shower has only been slightly above lukewarm. I thought it may have been to do with us using the CH more and at higher temperature (during very cold couple of weeks), however the water still fails to heat up to the usual temperature.

The heat from the kitchen taps closer to the boiler is excellent. Being no expert, this leads me to believe the problem is not necessarily with the boiler.

Appreciate any help.

Phil

Three possibilities need investigating.

The shower temperature lever is set wrong and reaching the stop before allowing enough hot water to pass.

A filter fitted to the hot flow side is blocked restricting the flow.

The valve may have been installed without flow restrictors. Not all makes need these so the installation manual needs to be consulted.
