I have been reading plenty of forums & watched various YouTube videos about stiff mixer taps and thought I had fixed the problem but later the stiffness in the tap came back.
I removed the cartridge to check the condition inside which still looked in good condition and operated well. But when restoring the components, I noticed the cartridge lever was becoming stiffer as I was screwing the bolt back on around it. I then untightened the bolt as much as I could until the cartridge lever become more loose/free.
However a day later the tap had got stiff again.
Any thoughts? Could it be do with the water pressure?
