Tiles or Engineered Wood on Top of Previously Tiled Floor With UFH

by Shardave » Tue Oct 02, 2018 4:16 pm

We want to change the flooring in our conservatory. It has tiles which has electric underfloor heating.... We cant afford to remove whole lot and start again, so thinking about either tiling on top, or putting engineered wood on top.
Has anyone had experience of doing this and how much did it affect the efficiency of the heating? Would tiling transfer heat better than wood?
It's either that or I buy a big rug! ( although I realise this is insulating!!)
Ideas or experiences please
