Trying to Replace BLV Reflekto Bulb and Help Needed Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

I am trying to replace a BLV Reflekto bulb in my bathroom. I bought what I thought was the right replacement bulb but after replacing it, it didn't work. See photos below of the fitting. Can anyone help identify what I'm doing wrong? I have 3 bulbs which need replacing and tried the new bulb in two of them, both did not work. It doesn't seem easy to fit the replacement into the metal clasps.

Any help whatsoever is appreciated!

Cannot see pictures.
I have tried wiggling the lamps when the pins are in the lampholders, as it could be faulty lampholders.
