Hello all creative thinkers.
I recently bought a new picnic table without a hole for an umbrella in the center thinking I would just add one myself with a drill and dremel. I didn't consider the fact that the metal cross beam running along the underside of the table near the ground would be in the way of the umbrella pole reaching our usual umbrella stand. I am trying to devise an anchor attached to the cross beam with an umbrella stanchion attached (thereby making the picnic table itself the umbrella stand). Any ideas would be appreciated!
