I am painting my porch support post.
The bottom of the post was starting to go soft after sitting there for 21 years and never touched.
I brushed on some wood rot and also let is sink is around 7 inches above the bottom of the post.
I have now undercoated all of the post except the paint will not take to the bottom of the post where I let the wood hardener soak in.
Being a bit late now but I can always sand what paint there is on the bottom is there anything I can put on that area so that the paint takes to it.
