Using MDF Skirting Boards to Replace Existing Wooden Skirting

Post by Emilymac » Tue Jan 08, 2019 7:33 am

Hello, I am replacing skirting boards throughout my house and I'm replacing the old ones with MDF ones. I have completed one room, I did the internal corners with one board flat against the wall and profiled the other one. I've done a bit more reading and was found that's done because wooden skirt kinks in one direction more than the other. So does this mean I don't have to do this type of join with MDF. Can I just do an internal mitre cut?
