ventilation in Bed and Breakfast Kitchen Including Commercial Hood and Interlock on Oven and Grill

HI

I'm new to this forum and just needed some advice. We run a bed and breakfast our gas engineer has told us we need a commercial hood and interlock on our oven and grill. So I phoned gassafe and they said because we are a bed and breakfast we do not need the hood or interlock quoting BS 6172 and I'm confused to what we should do. We have commercial oven and grill which gassafe said did not make any difference and the ventilation we have which is a commercial extractor fan above the grill and a window next to it is sufficient. We only cook breakfast no evening meals and we do not have a deep fat fryer. Any advice would be much appreciated.
