Very heavy masonry BBQ Installation

by PaulN » Fri Jun 09, 2023 10:15 am

I recently bought a masonry BBQ which weighs 500kg and is 2m tall.

When I went to start building it, I noticed that my sandstone patio wasn't flat and that the base rocks with a maximum gap of just under half a centimetre.

The raised section of the patio is where there is a join in the slabs.

Is there a way to level this out without building another very thin base?

I thought there might be some relatively heavy-duty rubber mat I could put down, which would compress and level it off.

You will have gathered by now that I have no DIY experience.

Thanks
