Wall light with Plug - Can i hardwire it instead?

Post by badidas » Tue May 06, 2008 8:12 am

Recently bought a wall light, and didn't realise it had a plug on the end. Can i rip off the wire with the plug on and attach it straight to the wires coming out the wall instead (where old wall lights were)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I figured it shouldn't be a problem. i presume being wired to the new fuse box would be an adequate fuse!?
