WASHBASIN TAPS

Post by Brian Read » Mon Feb 15, 2010 10:39 am

Can anyone tell me how to access the body of a shrouded head tap on my bathroom washbasin?I need to repace the washers but although the "H" and "C" disc inserts can be prised out with a very small screwdriver this dosen't give access to the screw on the tap body.

I suspect the rotating tap head is a push fit on the spindle but don't like to try and knock it off in case I create anither problem. The taps were fitted twenty years ago so will probably be reluctant to move and will need some gentle persuasion
Can anyone advise please?

Brian Read,
If they definitely are push fit use an adjustable spanner under the heads to prise them loose.
