SBR Is short for Styrene Butadiene Rubber Latex it is designed to upgrade the bonding and waterproofing ability of Portland based cement mortars and screeds. Because of its huge tensile and flexural strength is can be mixed with samd and cement to enable a very thin application, sometimes as little as 5 to 7mm. It has incredible adhesion and allows a lower water content to be used for the same workability. Its available in all Builders merchants in 5 litre tubs which normally have mixing instructions for various applications on them.
