What Sealant to use on Solid Oak Worktops?

by evansk25 » Wed Sep 11, 2013 9:06 am

Hi, first post for me :) , Just need some advice please people, i have just had some solid oak worktops fitted with upstands i have slight gaps in places which i want to fill ( mainly to stop any bits of food getting in). just wondered is there a specific sealant i need to use as its solid oak or should i just use a normal clear silicone sealant. i dont really want to ruin the look of the oak by having anything too visable.

Cheers in advance

you could buy oak colour coded sealant but don't know which would look better, clear or coloured.
