Hi I have bought a chrome replacement ceiling light fitting inset/down lighter(Robus RS10165GZ-03 240v IP65 D/L) to replace one above my shower which does not have glass protection. The current fitting has an earth attached to the side of the unit which I wasn't expecting. The new unit states that an earth is not required. Should I tape the earth wire end with insulating tape making sure that it's not touching the unit? Thanks :)

Yes just tape the ends, do not cut it off in case you need it in the future
