Wooden block kitchen worktops.

by blue10170 » Sun Mar 28, 2010 1:48 pm

Hi, I have to remove for a customer a section of wooden block worktop from around a belstaff kitchen sink. The woktop has split along the rear of the sink where it has soaked up water. Any tips on how to prevent this from happening again? I think when the worktop was originally installed the cut out was to close to the joint in the blocks ( About three mm away!). I am planning on cutting the new worktop along the joint lin in an attempt to prevent this happening again! Any advise greatfully recieved. Thanks, Mike.
