Worcwster combi boiler pressure gauge high!

by williamsfamily » Sun Aug 29, 2010 10:26 am

HI , we had a new Worcester Greenstar CDi fitted earlier in the year , over the last few months although we've not had the heating on the pressure gauge is up in the red at 3 bars. we've also had problems with one of the upstairs toilets making a banging noise in the pipes each time we flush it. the chap who fitted it said the pressure was too high for the toliet re-filler and so added a value onto the cistern pipe bu this hasn't made a difference just made it longer for the loo to refill.
there are no instructions in the manual as to what to do if the pressure reading is too high. can anyone advise how i can solve this?
thanks

williamsfamily,
Get in a boiler tech so they can check the filler loop and the pressure vessel.
